A Puerto Rican Home in South Florida

A Puerto Rican Home in South Florida

Casa Borinquen was created in 2012 to bring the flavor and culture of Puerto Rico to Hollywood, FL. What started as a simple dream became a way to share food that feels like home. Every dish is rooted in tradition—from the smell of sofrito to the sound of music playing in the background. Located at 6519 Taft St since 2014, this spot serves meals that remind people of family, island life, and the joy of sharing a good plate.
How It All Started

How It All Started

Brian and Marianne Dominguez grew up around food. Brian, from Bayamón and Jayuya, learned to fry alcapurrias and piononos at his father’s kiosk. Marianne, from Salinas, learned seasoning from her grandmother’s kitchen. In 2007, they moved to South Florida. By 2012, they launched a food truck to reconnect with their roots. A few years later, in 2014, Casa Borinquen opened its doors in Hollywood as a full dine-in restaurant.
More Than Just a Meal🔥

More Than Just a Meal🔥

Guests come for fresh food and generous portions. Everything is made to order like mofongo, arroz con gandules, chuleta kan kan, and more. You’ll see the chef cooking right behind the counter. The setup is casual: order first, then grab a seat and enjoy the music. Even though the space is small, the energy is lively and full of Puerto Rican pride. No reservations, no stress—just honest food in a place that feels real.
